Dr. Michael Costantino is a graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine where he earned a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1988. Following residency and post graduate training, he entered private practice in 1993. A Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, he is board certified in foot surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Costantino has served as a doctor for the New York State International Longshoreman’s Association providing care to Longshoremen and their families. He is affiliated with Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre where he serves as chief for the section of podiatry with the department of Orthopedics, as well as New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn and Cabrini Medical Center in Manhattan.

Dr. Costantino specializes in reconstructive foot surgery, diabetic limb salvage and wound care, and the management of both acute and chronic podiatric trauma patients. He has lectured professionally on the use of emerging biosynthetic products and grafting materials as well as emergency treatment of the acute trauma patient.

Dr. Costantino joined the staff of Orthopeadic Excellence of Long Island in 2005.
